Patricia Rivera

Patricia, known to family and friends as “Pat” or “Grandma” was born on Sept. 23, 1938 to late Guy and Margaret (McCoy) Chase, in Conewango Township, Warren Co, PA.

Pat was a 1956 graduate of the former Sugar Grove PA High School.

Pat worked for over 25 years at the former Manor Oak Nursing Home as a certified nurse’s aid and in laundry until it closed. She later went on to work at Big Lots in Brooklyn Square. It was there that she got the nickname “Grandma”.

Pat enjoyed bowling in different leagues for over 30 years. She also enjoyed watching game shows, and wrestling, and football games on tv, playing bingo, going to the casino, and playing scratch off tickets.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Patricia Loverme) Wright of Jamestown NY, Sandy (Craig Litzinger) Wright of Jamestown NY. She is also survived by her four grandchildren – Justin (Jennifer) Litzinger of Lakewood NY, Jeremy (Susan) Litzinger of Philpot KY, Erin (Adam) Reeves and Christine Baker of Jamestown, NY. She really enjoyed being a great-grandma to Jordan Nelson, Lakewood NY, Emma, Eleanor, and Owen Litzinger of Philpot KY, Kollin Leroy, Jaxson and Westen Reeves of Jamestown NY.

Pat is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jim (Bev) Chase of Russell PA. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving is her beloved dog, “Popeye”.

Besides her parents, Margaret in 1996, Guy in 1997, Pat is predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Alfredo “Freddy” Rivera in 2019. Her son, Dale Wright passed away in 2021, along with her brothers and sisters- in – laws, Robert (Betty) 2023, Chase, Sr in 2000, and Bill (Betty) Chase in 2012, and nephew Darren Chase in 2010.

We would like to thank the nurses, physical therapy, and the personal care aides at The Warren Manor for the phenomenal care they gave and showed her every day. It is greatly appreciated.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at The Sugar Grove Fire Hall.
