Lester C. Rulander, 88, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital, in Erie.
He was born on March 24, 1937, in Warren, a son to the late Frederick and Bessie (Chambers) Rulander. Les graduated from Tidioute High School and worked at the Gravel Pit in Starbrick for several years until he took a job at the National Forge spending the next 20 years there. He enjoyed farming, farm shows in Harrisburg, live stock auctions, eating all things apple and attending the Warren County Fair. Les was an avid NY Giants fan, he loved country and gospel music but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Rulander of Pittsfield, Fred (Renee) Rulander of Tidioute and Juliane (David) Szubinski of Independence, OH; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Les was preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia (Jacobson) Rulander; his daughter-in-law, Laura Rulander and his siblings, Frederick, Herbert, Curtis and Howard Rulander, Marie Johnson, Lettie Anderson, Velma Rulander and Violet Thomas.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Oct. 23rd at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis Street, Youngsville, PA 16371 from 4-6pm at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in Davey Hill Cemetery.
