Marilyn F. Hill

Marilyn F. Hill

It is with heavy hearts and much love that we say goodbye to our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marilyn Faye Hill.

Marilyn peacefully entered heaven on July 8, 2025, after lovingly being cared for by the staff at the Watson Memorial Home of Warren, PA, surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born on Feb. 15, 1933, to the late John and Margaret Wilson of Scottdale, PA. After graduation, Marilyn worked for Bell Telephone and Duroloy before marrying Russell A. Hill. He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service and in their early years of marriage, they traveled around the United States with his job. They had four children, Jackie, Karen, Sherri, and Russ, each being born in a different state. When the children were ready to start school, they settled in Warren, PA.

She had a great, long life where she enjoyed reading, gardening, feeding the birds and chipmunks, camping, walking at Jake’s Rocks, and Chapman Dam. Her greatest love was her family. Nancy Gabel, a close and special family friend, now takes care of her beloved chihuahua, Vallie.

Marilyn will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family and all of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is now a beautiful angel sitting on Heaven’s porch watching over us. She has been preceded in death by her parents, sister, Norma, sister, Lois, brother, Donnie, beloved grandson, Michael Vile, and other family members and friends.

She is survived by her four children, Jackie (Terry), Karen (Joe Vile), Sherri (David Anderson), and Russ (Sharon); three siblings, Susan, Cheryl, Wayne; eleven grandchildren, Monica (John), Brandon (Adryona), Jessica (Travis), Russell (Jordyn), Richard (Chelsea), Rachael (Jarius), Joey, Salysa (Aaron), and Kyara (Quavon); twelve great grandchildren, Raven, Reno, Jonnie Fay, Jonathan, Grace, Madelyn, Aiden, Harper, Walker, Everleigh, Nate, and Elizabeth; and also nieces and nephews.

The joy and love that she brought will live in our hearts always. See you in Heaven Mom/Grandma!

Family and friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at which time a funeral service will be held with Reverend Dorothy Hilliard, Faith Fellowship Church of God, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
