Keith F. Keefer

Keith F. Keefer, 74, of Tidioute, PA, formerly of Center Township, Beaver County, PA., died on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born May 11, 1949 in Rochester, PA., son of Frank “Fritz” Keefer III, who lives in Tionesta, PA, and of the late Betty J. (Johnson) Keefer.

On May 21, 1977 at Faith Lutheran Church in Center Township, he married Carla Marie (Gregg) Keefer who died Oct. 27, 2001. On Nove. 11, 2004 at the Van Kirk Lutheran Church, also in Center Township, he married Cynthia Ann (Lyons) Keefer who survives in Tidioute.

Keith was a proud Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrowman honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Penn State University, main campus, where he achieved a four year degree in Forestry. He faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War with the US Navy.

He worked for US Steel in Aliquippa, PA, then at Mulach Steel Corporation in Leetsdale, PA. After moving to Tidioute he worked for Ellwood National Crankshaft in Irvine, PA where he ultimately retired. He loved to hunt and was particularly fond of fishing in his Kayak.

In addition to his father “Fritz” and wife Cynthia, he is survived by one son, Lucas Daniel Keefer at home in Tidioute; two daughters, Shelly L. Angerett and her husband Tim of Ohioville, PA; Maggie J. Silbaugh and her husband Matthew of Brighton Township, Beaver County; one brother, George D. Keefer and his fiance Linda Hajtol of Greenville, PA; a sister, Brenda Lee Bolam and her husband Bill of Industry, PA; four grandchildren, Collin and Mason Angerett, Madelyn and Makayla Silbaugh, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother and first wife Carla he was preceded in death by a sister, Valerie Galino as well as her husband Terry Galino, and their son, Lee Galino.
