Dr. Debra C. Vitez

Dr. Debra C. Vitez, 65, of Port Richey, FL, and previously of Youngstown, OH, passed away on Aug. 4, 2023, to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, at AdventHealth North Pinellas, Tarpon Springs, FL, following a lengthy illness.

Born June 18, 1958, in Youngstown, OH, she was the daughter of Shirley and Stephen Vitez, but was lovingly raised from infancy by her aunts: Bertha, Velma, and Margaret Vitez.

Debra was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, and Cuyahoga College in Cleveland. She was a member of St. Columba Cathedral where she was an organist. Later she was a member and organist at St. Brendan Catholic Church. Debra was a Practitioner of Cosmetic Therapy for 22 years. Throughout her life, she also worked as a Board Certified Alternative Medical Practitioner, a Naturopathic Medical Doctor, Theocentric Psychologist, Certified Clinical Psychopathologist, Certified Pastoral Addictions Counselor, Certified in Massage Therapy, and Ordained Minister of the Holy Gospel. Debra also enjoyed public speaking on many subjects, especially in education about natural health products through “Naturally Yours with Dr. Debra.” She was also an Adjunct College Professor in Florida.

Debra was a very loving and caring person, a shining light, bubbling with joy, living her life for Jesus. Always positive in every situation, always appreciative of those around her. God gave Debra many talents, which she developed and used to help many people throughout her life. That was her greatest joy.

Those who survive Debra and will treasure many happy memories of her are a brother, James (Susan) Vitez, a niece, Melody Conklin, a nephew, Patrick Conklin, her uncle James Vitez, and many cousins. A cousin, Diane Collins, was a devoted advocate who became very special to Debbie during her illness.

In addition to her parents and her three aunts who raised her, Debra was preceded in death by her sister, Yovonne Conklin.

Debra will be laid to rest at the Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, OH.
