David Alan Dunn

David Alan Dunn, 63, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Born November 17, 1955, David was the son of the late W. Bruce and Evelyn Palm Dunn. He married Kellie Gnage Dunn on October 12, 1985.

David was a graduate of Warren Area High School, where he was a standout football player. He obtained a degree in business management from Wake Forest University, and later, an accounting degree from St. Bonaventure University. David was employed by W.B. Lumber for many years before he became a self-employed investor.

David was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, which later merged with Covenant United Methodist Church.

Dave recently enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, to whom he was affectionately known as “PopPop,” taking trips to Myrtle Beach and dining out with his wife, Kellie. In earlier years, Dave was very active in his children’s sporting activities and took great pride in watching their events. In his downtime, Dave enjoyed watching a good comedy, reading, and planting spring flowers. David spent years crafting the perfect deviled egg recipe, which he liked to bring to family gatherings, alongside his dry, witty sense of humor.

Dave is survived by his wife, Kellie; two children, Jamie (Darren) Cummings of Warren, PA, and Addison Dunn of Canonsburg, PA; two granddaughters, Camdyn and Evelyn Cummings; two sisters, Karen Guiffre, and Kaye (Greg) Steuart; a nephew, Christopher (Aubree) Guiffre; a niece, Elizabeth (Nathan) Hanfman; and five great-nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, W. Bruce and Evelyn Palm Dunn; his brother, Lane Dunn; sister-in-law, Cheryl Dunn; and uncle, R. Max Dunn.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery.
