Louise Miller
Louise H. Miller, 82, of East St., Corry, Pa., died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Corry Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1934, in the Village of Tiona, Pa., a daughter of the late Archie M. and Helen Downing Huckabone.
Louise was raised and educated in the Warren area and graduated from Warren Area High School. She then attended Jamestown Community College. She worked for Warren General Hospital as a nurses’ aide for 39 years, retiring in 1986. Louise then moved to St. Louis, Mo., and worked as a nanny for several years. She returned to Corry in 1997.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corry where she volunteered for church activities and worked in the nursery for many years. Louise was a former Hospice volunteer, was a member of the local chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Corry Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting. Louise loved every minute spent with her grand babies and great-grand babies. She also liked helping others.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Barsness; a son, Jack Miller; and a sister, Ruth Smith.
Louise is survived by a daughter, Ronda Neiswonger and her husband Richard of Corry, Pa.; three sons, Greg Dahlstrand and his wife Kathy of Hummelstown, Pa., James Miller and his wife Sonja of Round Mt., N.V., and Scott Miller of Pahrump, N.V.; and a sister, Carol Anderson of Warren, Pa.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Friday from 4 to 7 pm., and attend the funeral service on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 650 Worth St., Corry, Pa., at 11 am. Rev. Jonathan Fehl will officiate.
Burial will be Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, Pa.
