Brian Winger

Brian Roger Winger, 56, of Clarendon died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Warren General Hospital. Brian was born November 23, 1959, in Jamestown, NY. He was the son of the late Bernard J. and Ernestine Alvira (Moore) Winger.

Brian was a graduate of Lackawanna High School, and had worked as an automotive mechanic, and later a roofer in the Warren area for many years. He had attended Victory Baptist Church in Clarendon. Brian was passionate about music, and had played in many bands in his younger years. He loved children and in August of 2014, he helped raise $7,200 for St. Vincent Children’s Hospital Rock for Babies campaign, where he also donated guitars.

His lifetime companion, Helen Rulander, and their two children, Jason and Daniel RulanderWinger; Barbara Kijek, of Buffalo, NY, and Bernadene Rowles, and husband, Donald, of Morrisdale, PA; and one brother, Gregory Winger, and wife, Carolina, of Dunkirk, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by two brothers, William Winger, and Bernard “Jay” Winger, and one sister, Ruth Ellen Winger.

A celebration of life service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 201 S. Main Street, in Clarendon, on Saturday, April 30, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Neal Arthur, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent Children’s Hospital, 1726 Shawano Ave, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54303.
