CHARLENE FARR

Charlene “Charlie” Lynne Berkhous Farr, 40, of 402 Crescent Park, Warren, passed away on June 24, 2013 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois after a courageous battle with cancer.

Charlene was born on May 19, 1973 in Corry, Pa. She was a 1991 graduate of Eisenhower High School where she was a football cheerleader for 4 years. From 19911992, she attended South Eastern Academy in Kissimmee, Fl. She was currently employed at Northwest Savings Bank in Warren as a bank representative. Charlene enjoyed being a wife and mother, especially vacationing with her children in the Outer Banks, and attending many of their school functions. She also enjoyed golfing, baking, and making cookies for the kids. Charlene was affectionately referred to as the “Debit Queen” by her husband Dan. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Warren and enjoyed her church family. Charlene was a friend to all. To know Charlene, you had a true friend, and she will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband Daniel Farr, and their 2 children, Carson Daniel Farr and Alyssa Lynne Farr , both at home, her father Jerry (Suzanne) Berkhous of Union City, her mother Mary Smith Berkhous and her companion John Peterson of Bear Lake, Sisters Christina (David) Eliason of Findley Lake, N.Y., and Sallie (Eric) Ross of Pittsfield, Brothers, Jerry (Shalee) Berkhous Jr. of Spartansburg, James Berkhous and Travis Berkhous, both of Tidioute, her mother and fatherinlaw Mike and Mary Rose Farr, her brothersinlaw, Joe (Amanda) Farr and Kevin Farr and his fiance Shelia, sistersinlaw Karin (David) Prybock and Kathy (Brant) Cramer, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Polly Berkhous.

A celebration of Charlene’s life will be held on Sunday, June 30, at 3:00 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, Penna. Ave. and Prospect St. in Warren. The Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor, will officiate. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. before the service. A dinner will be served after the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests memorials in Charlene’s name be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1336 Basswood Rd., Schaumburg, IL., 60173 or to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St. Erie, Pa. 16505.
