The Lumber Heritage Region (LHR), in partnership with Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA) and Penn State Extension Cameron County 4-H, is now accepting registrations for the 2026 Teen Conservation Camp. This camp will provide an immersive outdoor learning experience designed to connect teens with Pennsylvania’s forests, natural resources, and conservation heritage. State Ethics Commission finds wrongdoing by Sheffield official

The Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission issued a final adjudication on Wednesday that a Sheffield constable and code enforcement officer unfairly used his authority to dismiss summary ordinance charges in order to obtain ownership of real property. In addition, the matter against Shawn Young was referred by the commission to the Office of the Warren County District Attorney and the Office of the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with a recommendation that criminal prosecutions be instituted against Young. Saturday’s winds temporarily turned down the music. WRRN, 92 Gold (92.3 FM) was off the air from Saturday through at least Tuesday morning after strong wind storms swept through the region. Power outages in Erie where the station's headquarters is located were given as the cause of the outage.
