Alliance formed to strengthen voice on energy
The Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA) and the Pennsylvania Independent Petroleum Producers Association, Inc. announced an agreement to join forces to become a unified voice of more than 500 companies focused on developing Pennsylvania’s oil and natural gas resources, with PIPP becoming a subsidiary of PIOGA.
PIOGA President and Executive Director Dan Weaver and PIPP Executive Director David Hill said the plan will provide the two organizations with operational control over their respective programs and seminars while increasing their collaborative efforts to advocate for state and federal policies that support energy production in the Commonwealth.
“By coming together under one umbrella, we are leveraging our advocacy and ensuring Pennsylvania’s independent producers speak with one voice, one vision, and one future,” said Michael Hillebrand, PIOGA Board Chairman. “PIPP has been a vital part of this industry since 1985, and this partnership represents the next step in uniting and empowering our membership statewide.”
“There is great strength in our numbers, and this new framework allows both associations to operate more efficiently and with greater impact in Harrisburg and beyond,” said Weaver. “We share the same purpose–to advance the interests of independent producers — and together, we can amplify our influence, resources, and results. “PIOGA’s strong member communication and engagement programs will provide valuable updates on regulatory developments and legislation to PIPP members and will help the organization reach more producers and service providers with meaningful information to support their operations,” Weaver added
“This is a win for every independent producer in Pennsylvania,” Hill said. “By aligning with PIOGA while maintaining our own identity, we’re building on decades of grassroots leadership and ensuring that the voices of small producers remain strong, united, and heard where it matters most.”
PIOGA and PIPP will finalize operational details over the coming weeks, including shared service agreements and governance updates, ensuring a seamless transition for both memberships.
