Recently, a Sugar Grove roofing company completed an act of kindness by having crews protect his Bradford, Pa. home.
All was done at no cost to the veteran.
Complete Roofing Systems, 688 Big Tree Road, learned that Rose was being taken advantage of by other contractors. It was reported that one contractor did not finish the job while another contractor took Rose’s money, and did not do any work.
So the team at CRS decided to fix Rose’s leaky roof by installing a new one.

“Thomas Rose is a veteran. I wish we could roof every veteran’s roof for free,” said CRS Marketing Director Scott Schuler. “After hearing about how one contractor didn’t finish the job, and another contractor took Thomas’ money and didn’t do any work, we had to come in and get him taken care of.”
Schuler said the roof on Rose’s house was partially complete before CRS took over.
“The other half of this roof has roofing paper installed and is leaking heavily,” Schuler said. “We are removing the entire roof, even what has already been done and installing a GAF (General Aniline & Film) Warranty Roofing System.”
According to crsroofingteam.com, GAF roofing systems are designed to provide layers of durability to a home.
“Roof replacement isn’t just about fixing problems–it’s about making a smart investment in your home,” the website noted.
And gaf.com said that a roof has multiple main layers that work together to create a durable system. The layers include a leak barrier, roof deck protection, starter strips, shingles, accessories such as appliance vents, and caps, attic ventilation, and ridge cap shingles.
Which usually takes one day to complete, Schuler said CRS crews installed all new roof decking, so the whole project took about two days.
