The seventh annual Jessica Salapek Memorial 5K was held recently and raised $1,440. The money was donated to Kari Loughlin and her local C.O.R.E. Suicide Prevention Project. Jessica Salapek was a victim of suicide in 2017 and the 5K honors her memory. She was an artist and all the shirts of the 5K are made from her artwork. Since 2018 the race has raised more than $13,000 for local suicide prevention and mental health education.
