State Police investigating kittens found abandoned

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about a crate of kittens found on Morrison Run Road.

Troopers responded to an animal cruelty complaint on Monday evening.

“The Humane Society reported an individual came to their facility with a hard plastic animal carrier containing five kittens of assorted colors and gender,” State police said in a statement.

The individual making the report stated that the carrier was found in Mead Twp. on Morrison Run Road near the oil tanks on Sunday around noon while he was in the area taking photographs.

Troopers say the carrier “had been abandoned in the wood line, with the kittens locked inside the crate with no food, water or means to escape.”

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.

Starting at $2.99/week.
