Marketing piece of Warren Worx taking shape
Draft branding for Warren County is expected to be presented to the Warren Worx stakeholders at the November meeting.
The October Warren Worx stakeholders meeting was held Wednesday night at the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College headquarters in downtown Warren.
Marketing Director Jenny Phillips said the firm hired to develop the branding effort, Truth Collective, presented a first round of “logo territories” to officials, describing that as a “first round look and feel.
“What they presented was a really good start,” she said. “(They) definitely have some refinements they have to make.”
“They presented three really good themes,” Shawn Walker, a member of the Warren Worx executive committee, said. “Parts of one we really liked more than others.”
He said they asked Truth Collective to combine those ideas “to make it even stronger. (We) essentially held their fee to the fire (and said) we want another round.”
“We want to do this right,” Phillips said. “(We) want to make sure that we’re catching the feeling of who we are as a county.”
Discussion centered primarily on how to engage students, especially the connection that young people have with county employers.
SUBCOMMITTEES MERGED
“A lot of the issues that we’re seeing – housing, helping communities, quality of life – we’re talking about the same stuff,” Phillips said.
As a result, the Quality of Life and Community Revitalization committees will be merged starting with the Oct. 30 meeting.
The next stakeholder meeting will be held on Nov. 13 in Sheffield.
