Troopers seek information stemming from assault at Glade Bridge
Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about the identity of a young man involved in an apparent road rage incident that occurred at the Glade Bridge on Friday.
Troopers say that the incident occurred between 11:50 a.m. and noon at the intersection of US Route 6 and Pennsylvania Avenue on the east end when “motorists in two separate vehicles were involved in a disturbance.”
It turned physical when an unknown male suspect, identified as between 17 and 25 years old, “exited the vehicle he was riding in at the stop light in the intersection and approached the victim’s vehicle,” according to a statement from police.
“The unknown suspect,” troopers detail, “then struck the victim several times about the head” before he allegedly got back into the vehicle he was riding in and fled the scene.
The victim is identified as a 58-year-old Oil City man.
Troopers say that the vehicle was described as a dark four door passenger car.
Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at the Starbrick barracks.
