There are just a couple days left to vote for your favorite school’s design in PennDOT’s annual Paint the Plow program.

This year’s theme is “Seat Belts are Always in Season” and three county high schools – Tidioute, Youngsville and Eisenhower – submitted designs as part of the contest.

The link for voting can be found on the right side of PennDOT’s District 1 webpage – https://www.penndot.pa.gov/RegionalOffices/district-1/Pages/default.aspx.

Designs by Warren County students are up against those from several neighboring counties.

“Paint the Plow is a PennDOT outreach program aimed at promoting winter driving safety and fostering appreciation for high school art programs and student creativity,” the agency explained. “Participating high school students design and create original artwork to a snowplow that showcases our 2023 Paint the Plow theme: Seat Belts are Always in Season.”

Voting ends at 1:59 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15.

During the winter weather season, the blades will be used to maintain state-owned roadways across the six counties in PennDOT’s northwest region.
