Blood drives set for next week
Christmas is the season of giving.
And it doesn’t have to just be gifts.
Community Blood Bank is highlighting two opportunities to donate blood in Warren County next week.
“As the exclusive provider of blood to our local hospitals, Community Blood Bank emphasizes the
impact of local donations in supporting friends, family, and neighbors in need of life-saving transfusions,” Community Relations Specialist Andrea Sprickman said. “Donating with CBB ensures that your contribution directly supports patients within our local area, making a vital difference in the lives of those undergoing medical treatments and emergencies.”
The first drive next week will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, 11 Russell St., in Warren on Tuesday from noon to 5:30 p.m.
That will be followed by a drive on Wednesday, Dec. 20, from noon to 5 p..m. at the Youngsville Fire Hall.
Sprickman said that CBB is offering a weekly giveaway to donors that give in December – each week, four will win a $100 Mastercard gift card.
“Your selfless act of donation automatically enters you into this weekly giveaway,” she said.
All blood types are needed, especially types O and A negative.
Those looking to donate can call (814) 456-4206 to schedule an appointment. While donors can walk in, an appointment will reduce wait time.
Donors must be at least 17-years-old, 110 pounds and in good general health. Valid photo ID is required.
