Proposed Glade Twp. budget includes tax increase
The proposed budget for Glade Township includes an increase in property taxes.
The 2024 budget for the municipality, if adopted, would raise taxes by one-half mill.
A mill is equal to $1 for every $1,000 of a property’s assessed taxable value. The increase would equate to $1 for $2,000 of assessed taxable value. For example, the increase would raise taxes on a building with an assessed taxable value of $1,000,000 by $500.
In Warren County, assessed value is calculated at a rate of 50 percent of market value as of the last assessment.
According to the township, the proposed increase will be used to fund emergency services.
The budget is available for review at the township building.
The township board of supervisors will vote on whether to accept the budget at its Dec. 5 meeting.
