Pittsfield woman faces charges after crowbar attack

A Pittsfield woman faces felony assault charges after an altercation in which she struck a man in the head with a crowbar.

According to a criminal complaint, Victoria Hope Wesolowski, 29, of Pittsfield struck Wayne Merle Glasgow in the back of the head with a metal crowbar during an altercation at 33900 Rt. 6 in Pittsfield Township at approximately 5 p.m. on Sept. 7.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Pennsylvania State Police received a call reporting a driver had picked up a man who was covered in blood near the intersection of Rt. 6 and Miles Run Road and given him a ride to the hospital. Police identified the man as Glasgow at Corry Memorial Hospital and observed a large wound on the back of his head. Wesolowski then contacted state police reporting a domestic incident. Police found Wesolowski to have sustained minor injuries as well. Upon speaking to Glasgow and Wesolowski, police determined the pair had gotten into a physical altercation during which Wesolowski had struck Glasgow in the back of the head with a crowbar before Glasgow left the scene.

Wesolowski was arraigned Friday morning before Magisterial District Judge Raymond Zydonik on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a misdemeanor charge of simple assault and a summary charge of harassment.

A preliminary hearing for Wesolowski is scheduled at 10 a.m. on Sept. 27.
