Local business donates to Fraternal Order of Police lodge

Times Observer photo by Brian Ferry Members of Warren County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 83 accept a check from the owners of West End Take Out to benefit the Shop with a Cop program. The Shop with a Cop program brings some joy to young Warren County people who need it.

West End Take Out has recognized the value of that program and is taking steps to help out.

For the second year, West End owners Megan and Ian Lawson set aside a portion of sales to help the program.

This year, they contributed $1 from every large pizza sold on Fridays in November.

The Lawsons presented a check for $450 to members of Warren County Fraternal Order of Police 83 on Wednesday.

“It’s an awesome thing that they’re doing,” Ian Lawson said. “And there are kids in this community that need it.”

FOP members will be taking kids shopping at local stores to help brighten their holidays. Three of five scheduled Shop events are yet to go.

Anyone wishing to donate may do so by mail to: Warren County FOP Lodge 83, P.O. Box 15, Warren, PA, 16365.
