Dodgeball Day draws kids to playgrounds

Times Observer photos by Brian Ferry Isabelle Rockwell zeroes in on a dodgeball opponent Thursday at Lacy Playground.

Kids in the City of Warren were flinging spheres at other kids… and probably some playground supervisors.

It was Dodgeball Day in the city’s playground program.

Beaty and Lacy playgrounds are supervised from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Programming is open to children ages 7 to 13 and continues through Aug. 5. The program features sports, games, arts, science, and water.

Mondays are pool days — and the playground programs move to the City of Warren Pool. In the middle of each week is Water Wednesday.

The playground schedule can be found under the calendar at www.cityofwarrenpa.gov

Registration remains open by calling the city offices at (814) 723-6300.

Starting at $3.50/week.
