City police investigating armed robbery

City of Warren police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Monday at the Country Fair on the east side.
Police were dispatched shortly after 3 a.m. to Country Fair, 413 Pennsylvania Ave. E.
“The suspect,” police say in a statement, “entered the store, demanded money, obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.”
City of Warren Police Detective Tiffany Dyke told the Times Observer that the “suspect portrayed to have a firearm.”
She said that there were no injuries as a result of the incident and that the amount of money taken cannot be released.
The suspect is described as a “tall, thin white male with dark hair.”
At the time of the incident, he was wearing black of navy-blue sweatpants around his head, a dark gray sweatshirt and light blue shorts.
He was also wearing one white sock, one black sock and no shoes.
Police say that the suspect entered the store from Prospect Street and exited toward Buchanan Street.
