Plea entered in child porn case

A Warren man has pleaded guilty to a count of child pornography.

Zachary B. Miller, 30, 12 W. Third Ave., entered the plea before Judge Gregory Hammond on Thursday to the felony count. In exchange for the plea, charges of photograph/film/depict on computer sex act and corruption of minors were not prosecuted.

Miller was one of two men charged in connection with a relationship with a 16-year-old female.

The investigation dates back to July when city police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at Soldiers & Sailors Park on July 20. Officers arrived on scene and found the other male and the juvenile “on the steps of the park kissing,” per the affidavit of probable cause.

Search warrants were executed on his phone and the juvenile’s device. The search warrant of the juvenile’s phone found pictures of Miller “exposing himself and asking the juvenile if she wanted him.”

She told the Child Advocacy Center staff that she had sex twice with Miller and that he had also promised to tattoo her.

She paid Miller to do so, per the affidavit, but Miller never followed through. Miller “did attempt,” she further disclosed, “to get more money from the victim stating he needed money for his prescription drugs.”

Miller, police say, said he “didn’t know the juvenile was only 16-years-old.”

He also pleaded guilty Thursday to a count of possession with intent to deliver at a second docket. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were not prosecuted.

Information from the Pennsylvania State Police indicates that the sex charge carries a 15 year registration period as a sexual offender.

Starting at $4.00/week.
