With Thanksgiving dinner devoured, it will be time for a little Christmas spirit.
“A Christmas Spectacular” by Molly Dies Dance Express and Friends hits the stage at Struthers Library Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26; 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28.
“It will be easy to catch ‘the Christmas spirit’ this Thanksgiving weekend by enjoying the annual high-kicking, heart-warming, joy-filled show,” Dies said. “This hometown show is familiar to those who have seen it the past four years, but with a new story line and enough twists it will be ‘new’ to all.”
“Santa’s elves are ready for their vacation… if they can leave the North Pole, that is,” she said. “When a magical snowglobe, created to bring snow with every shake, is stolen from the toy shop, the elves are trapped by a blizzard of Snowpocalypse proportions.”
“Separated from their friends in the Bahamas, they must figure out how to stop the snow before the North Pole is too buried for Santa to deliver presents on Christmas Eve,” she said. “In this comedic high-kicking, heart-warming hometown show, the elves come together once more to save the day – and discover that no matter how far away your loved ones are, they’re always closer with a little Christmas magic.”
“Don’t worry, the well-loved numbers that have become favorites are still there and so are new exciting routines that will take you on a true spirit of Christmas adventure,” Dies said. “You will leave humming familiar Christmas songs, a beat in your feet, and a special warmth in your heart.”
The show is split into two acts, with a 15-minute intermission — a total of about two hours.
