The Warren Philharmonic is ready to get back in front of audiences and looking for new musicians.
The orchestra will perform live in front of an in-person audience for the first time in two years when it holds a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Warren.
“We are really excited to be playing again and have a couple of big works planned,” President Brenda Schnick said. “Those larger works include the ‘Overture to the Marriage of Figaro’ by Mozart and ‘Symphony No. 1’ by Bizet.”
“We are also planning a special guest artist for this performance,” Schnick said. “Cristen Gregory, soprano, will be returning to the stage.”
With a two-year break between performances, there is space to add musicians.
“The Warren Philharmonic is currently seeking adult musicians in the Warren area for key positions with the orchestra,” Schnick said. “Those string roles include violin, viola, cello and bass. We are also seeking brass players for French horn, trombone, and tuba, and percussion.”
Anyone who is interested may contact Schnick at (814) 730-2189.
