Relay for Life to host planning meeting for 2022

The next Relay for Life in Warren County might not be for 10 months but the planning process kicks off this week.

The organizational meeting for 2022 will be held this Thursday night, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. at the North Warren Fire Department.

“This meeting is open to anyone from the past, present or in the future that would like to be involved with the next Relay,” Wendy Carter, advertising for the Warren County Relay for Life, explained. “You can form a team or go solo. We welcome everyone.”

One of the key decisions to be made Thursday will be a theme for 2022.

“In the current year there was a western theme where (we) had horse rides, food trucks, games, raffles and even a long-horned steer who joined us from Miracle Mountain,” she explained. “It was a great day for all.”

Carter said anyone unable to attend the meeting in person — or anyone seeking more information — is asked to email relayheavensent@yahoo.com to be added to a phone conference for the session.

She noted there is no financial obligation to join and that signups on the Relay for Life website will open at the end of the month.

“Please join us to help save lives, to help families and patients alike, and to help find a cure,” she said.
