Eisenhower yearbook recognized

A high school yearbook is more than just photographs and words.

It’s a whole bundle of high school memories in one convenient package.

And Eisenhower Middle High School’s is a good one.

Jostens awarded the school’s yearbook program its Silver Level 2021 National Yearbook Program of Excellence.

“This has been a challenging school year for our yearbook editors and staff, but they rose to the task and created beautiful spreads of the 2020-2021 School Year of Eisenhower Middle High School,” advisor Jessica McElhaney said. “I am very proud of all of their accomplishments in the creation of the yearbook and the leadership we had of our editors and upperclassman. This will definitely be a year to remember and one they will never forget.”

“The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students develop 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy,” according to a release from Jostens. “The award was presented to the Eisenhower Middle High School yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in between one and three of the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.”

“The Eisenhower Middle High School award-winning yearbook program is led by Veronica Ludwick and Kendra Chase, Co-Editors under the direction of Jessica McElhaney, Eisenhower Middle High School yearbook adviser,” according to Jostens. The business advisor is Anna Joncas and the student business manager is Sydney Cronmiller.

“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” Jostens VP and COO Yearbook Division Tammy Whitaker said. “These schools did an exceptional job on multiple levels, despite the challenges presented by this school year. Yearbooks are a critical part of capturing and telling a school’s story, and Jostens is dedicated to supporting yearbook staff members as they do their important work.”
