TAHDC, Inc. Fund Drive

It has been 8 years since the Board of Directors requested your help in constructing the Tidioute Area Health & Dental Center. That Building belongs to those of you who made donations; it is managed by the Board of Directors; and leased by Warren General Hospital and Darlings Tidioute Pharmacy.

In order to keep our 501(c)3 non-profit status, the TAHDC, Inc. Board of Directors has voted to conduct their second fund drive. A fund drive with a goal of $60,000+that will ensure our non-profit status and allow us to deposit a large portion of the donations into an Endowment Fund under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of Warren County. The remainder of the donations will be used for maintenance of the building since the cost of this roughly $23,000 per year (this includes maintenance, insurance, property taxes and administrative fees). We rely 100% on donations from the public for these costs. As a side note, the Board of Directors are all volunteers and receive absolutely no compensation whatsoever for managing this building.

We have enough funding to take us another 6-7 years, but after that, serious consideration would have to be given to either closing the facility or selling it. The interest earned from an Endowment Fund would allow us to extend that 6-7 years to possibly an additional 8-10 years.

By April 1, brochures will be mailed to THS Alumni, residents and businesses, and will also be available at various locations throughout Tidioute.

A donation during the fund drive of just $35.00 (or more) from each of the individuals and businesses we will be contacting would put us OVER our goal! And, your donation during this fund drive would ensure that we keep this much needed medical/dental/pharmaceutical service in the community – where it belongs.
