Blood drives

Community Blood Bank is holding two blood drives in Warren County later this month. Community members who donate blood in June will have a chance to win one of two sets of kayaks and paddles. The first will be held at Holy Redeemer in Warren from noon to 5 p.m. on June 18 with the second to follow on June 19 from noon to 5 p.m. at Youngsville VFD. Call (814) 596-3395 to make an appointment. Walk-ins will be taken as space allows.

Merit Roll

The Warren County Christian School has announced the following students to the Merit (GPA 3.0-3.49) and Principal’s List (GPA 3.5-4.0) for the fourth quarter of the school year. The following students made the Merit List: Brantley Maynard, Tieralynn Slater, Ryan Heller, McKaylin Stoddard, Braxton Maynard, Emma Hughes and Star Nicholson. The following students made the Principal’s List: Benjamin Winans, Jacob Boisvert, Elijah Clark, Gabriel Landin, Britain Hollis, Nathan Arroyo, Avery Galbraith, Annika Landin, Marilyn Emery and Evan Hughes.

Outdoor club to kayak

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak on the Allegheny River from the end of Market St. to Starbrick on Sunday, June 16. The group will meet at the base of Market St. at 2 p.m. All boats need to be registered to take out in Starbrick.
