Outdoor Club to hike

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike on the West Overland Trail on Sunday, April 14. The group is asked to meet at the Panama, NY diner at 2 p.m.

Mom Prom

Caring for Life is holding its 11th Mom Prom on May 10 starting at 7 p.m. at the Conewango Club. This year’s theme is Mom Prom (Taylor’s Version). Women 21 and over are encouraged to come out and enjoy a fun evening of dancing, appetizers and a cash bar. DJ Josh Bigelow will be returning once again this year. Funds raised benefit Caring For Life’s mission of supporting families with a seriously ill child in Warren County. Tickets are available at caring4life.net.

Military share

Second Harvest has announced that Warren’s Military Share food distribution will occur on Friday, April 19, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Ed Shults, 4060 Market St. The distribution is open to active military/veterans and their families and those coming are asked to bring driver’s license and military ID.

Caregivers

Support Group to meet Monday

The regularly scheduled Caregivers Support Group meeting will be held on Monday at 12 noon at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 PA. Ave. E., Warren. Enter the building via the elevator entrance and proceed to the Wesley Parlor. All caregivers (men and women) and anyone interested in Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related diseases are welcome to attend. A time of sharing concerns, behavior issues, etc., is always part of the meeting. Handouts are provided by the Alzheimer’s Assn. and are available for those attending and their families. This meeting provides a safe and confidential place to share any questions from caregivers, as well as to learn of current information.
