Class to meet in

Pittsfield

The Warren Area High School Class of 1957 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Scotties Pittsfield Inn, Pittsfield.

District Garden

Club meets

The Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania, District VIII met Monday at Cross Creek Resort, Titusville. President Kristine Whitaker and eight members of Warren Garden Club attended the day-long meeting. The first committee report was on District Laurels which are awards to club members who have served their local chapter with distinction. A total of 17 awards were presented. Other committee reports were Birds, Bees and Butterflies, the Blue Star program which honors those who have served in the armed forces, Conservation and the Environment which delivered a report on the dangers of plastic on the environment and a report on scholarships which are awarded to college students. The 14 club presidents each presented their local club accomplishments and their club’s favorite programs. These reports provide ideas for possible programing and projects for other clubs.

Caregivers’ Support Group to meet

The next meeting of the Caregivers’ Support Group will be held at noon Monday, Sept. 19, at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. Those attending the meeting are asked to enter the building via the elevator entrance from the parking lot to the Wesley Parlor. If desired, bring a bag lunch and/or beverage. All meetings are open to anyone interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias and all caregivers are welcome.

Details about Warren’s 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be discussed.

Walk to end

Alzheimer’s

Disease Sept. 24

Warren’s 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease will step off at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in Betts Park.

There is still time to sign up a team or to join an existing one. Individual walkers are always welcome.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., as do other Walk events – team photos, the Promise Garden Ceremony, and presentation of awards.
