Annual picnic is Sept. 18

The Osram Sylvania retiree and employee annual picnic will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Betts Park. Retired, former, and active personnel and a guest are welcome to attend and are asked to bring a dish to pass. The cost to attend is $5 per person. Provided lunch will include chicken, ham, baked beans, macaroni salad, and drinks. Those attending are asked to RSVP to Ann Cochran at (814) 968-5556 or Patsy Ball at (814) 688-3430.

The Newton Dinner Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Double Ds in Garland.

Class breakfast

The Eisenhower High School Class of 1973 will meet for breakfast at The Bucket Cafe at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Bridge results

First place went to Lynn Way and Richard Woodruff on Monday evening at the YMCA with Marge Polito and Cindy Schumann in second. At the Allegheny Community Center Tuesday afternoon, Polito and Connie Lucia were first and second. Joyce Hill came in first Thursday afternoon at the Woman’s Club and Marilyn Mourer was second.
