Johnny and the Snow

Sorren Check

Johnny was a normal boy. He did normal boy stuff. He had three friends, Bob, David, and Billy. Bob could run fast, he was amazing at Tetris, and he had two dogs. David was an eighth-grade football player, played a lot of Minecraft, and had three cats. Billy played soccer, did not play any video games, (often) and he had a chinchilla.

It was a normal day in a normal town, Johnny and his friends were playing Minecraft; they were ready for a break from school. There were only four days until Christmas break. It was the weekend, and they were having a sleepover. “COME ON!” Billy yelled.

“I’M COMING ON!” David yelled back.

“STOP YELLING,” Bob commanded.

“BUT YOU’RE YELLING!” Johnny yelled at Bob.

The four friends were about to beat Minecraft. “ONE MORE HIT!” Johnny exclaimed.

“YES!” they all yelled, “WE BEAT MINECRAFT!”

One hour later they were all asleep. But during the night it snowed… really, really, hard. In the morning, the four boys woke up to seven feet of snow. “Uh…” Johnny said in confusion as he looked out the window. “Guys, wake up. I do not think that we will be able to go outside today.”

Billy woke up first and yelled, “THAT LOOKS LIKE 10 FEET OF SNOW!”

Billy yelling woke up the rest of the boys. “Woah!” Bob exclaimed.

“So much snow!” David stated.

The boys went downstairs to talk to Johnny’s mom, Janet and his dad, Jimmy. “Hi Mr. and Mrs. Gregerson.” Bob, David, and Billy said.

Janet just smiled and waved, but Jimmy looked glum. “Dad, what’s wrong?” Johnny asked.

“We… can’t get out,” Jimmy said in a sad way.

The four boys all looked shocked. David went to the door and opened it. Janet thought nothing of it for about one second until she realized what would happen. “NO, WAIT!” Janet yelled.

It was too late the white, powdery snow flowed into the house taking David off his feet. Johnny and Bob started laughing, Billy slapped his face, Jimmy looked even more upset, and Janet asked, “Are you okay?”

Jimmy started shoveling the snow away from the door, and after a few hours, he managed to shovel about three feet of snow into a bucket in the house. The boys were playing Tetris 99 until the power went out. “NO!” Johnny yelled.

“AH!” Janet screamed.

“Why?” Bob said quietly.

“No one go into the fridge, if you need water, grab a cup and scoop water from the bucket.” Jimmy commanded.

It was getting late. Bob, David, and Billy had to stay another night. In the morning all the snow had melted. Or so Johnny thought. It had not snowed seven feet; in fact, it had not snowed at all. It was just a dream.
