Bicycle

Chalina Abreu

I took my orange cruiser out for a ride

Out on the sidewalk the wind was cool in my face;

my untidy hair was blowing all over the place

as I rode along the leafy green trees, I started to feel free inside

after a while I stopped at an ice cream shop

I looked at the big list of options; all the way to the top.

I picked my flavor and then went on

As I licked and licked

I felt as if I had been tricked

I said, “This is not the flavor that I picked!”
