Warren

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the City of Warren police department arrested William J. Moore, Jr., 26, 20 Tollgate Rd., Sheffield, on Feb. 21 at 2:20 p.m. on a supervisor’s warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for probation violations. Deputies say Moore was incarcerated in the county jail pending further court action.

Youngsville Borough

Found property. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police report that a small brown, leather handbag was found near the Youngsville bowling alley parking lot on Feb. 12 and brought to the Starbrick barracks. Anyone looking to identify the purse is asked to call the Starbrick barracks.

Conewango Township

Crash. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Follett Run Rd. on Feb. 22 at 5:16 p.m. Carrie A. Lindsey, 30, Warren, driving a 2007 Subaru Forester, was traveling west and lost control of her vehicle on a patch of slush. Police say here vehicle left the roadway and struck a mailbox and ditch on the southside of the roadway. A 2016 Ford F-150, driven by Tage M. Maney, 23, Warren, was traveling east and was unable to stop before striking Lindsey’s vehicle, which had crossed its lane of travel. No serious injuries were reported.

Deerfield Township

Burglary. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police report that a Bucktails Ln. camp, owned by a Pittsburgh woman, was burglarized sometime between Nov. 30 and Feb. 28. Stolen items include a fifth of whiskey, 30-30 ammunition, 12 gauge ammunition and firewood among other items. Total value is estimated at $115. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Mead Township

Theft by deception. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police received a report from a 73-year-old male, Clarendon, that his identity had been unknowingly used to secure unemployment benefits between Jan. 1 and Feb. 15. Troopers say the investigation is pending.

Crash. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on US 6 near Terrace Haven St. on Feb. 23 shortly after 9 p.m. Troopers say Charles R. Hibbler, 33, Clarendon, was driving a Nissan Rogue at a “presumably high rate of speed” when the vehicle drifted off the south side of the roadway, causing Hibbler to lose control. The vehicle returned to the roadway before striking an embankment on the north side of the roadway and rolled over once before coming to rest on the roadway. No injuries were reported but police say Hibbler was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.
