Youngsville
Home invasion. Youngsville Borough Police are investigating a break-in at an occupied Youngsville residence at about 2 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17. According to police, an unknown man entered 333 High St. A resident awoke to see a white man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt looking through cabinets. The resident screamed and the intruder fled on foot, according to police. Nothing was taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Youngsville police at 563-7555.
Burglary. Youngsville Borough Police are investigating a burglary on East Main Street. According to police, someone rummaged through personal property inside a building between Wednesday evening, Aug. 27, and Thursday, Aug. 28. Police said nothing was reported missing.
Trespass. Youngsville Borough Police have charged Craig Lindquist, 44, of 428 E. Main St., Youngsville, with trespass. According to police, Lindquist went on to another East Main Street property and removed property without the owner’s consent. Police said charges were filed through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
Scam. A Youngsville woman gave personal information over the phone after she was threatened by a caller who initially identified him as a representative of AAA. According to Youngsville Borough Police, the McGraw Drive resident declined to give information to the caller that he said he needed to renew her membership. Police said the caller threatened “to harm her if she did not give him the information.” The woman then gave personal information to the caller, police said.
Scam. A Youngsville woman mailed thousands of dollars to a man who offered his services as an attorney to help her out of owing thousands of dollars for magazines she did not order. According to Youngsville Borough Police, the Davis Street woman was contacted by a person who claimed to be an attorney in Canada. According to police, the person is not an attorney.

Theft of purse. Conewango Township police reported that on Aug. 8 at 2:50 p.m. Donna Wilcox, Youngsville, had her purse with numerous credit cards, checkbook and cash stolen from a shopping cart at Walmart after she had accidentally left her purse in the cart. Police said they were able to locate the offender in this incident, Gloria Ann Suppa, 204 Liberty St., Russell, with the aid of Walmart loss prevention and the store’s video surveillance equipment. Police said video evidence shows Suppa taking Wilcox’s purse and concealing it inside her own purse and then subsequently leaving the store. Police charged Suppa with theft of mislaid property.
Eldred Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Aug. 26 at 5:10 a.m. on Buells Corners Road at its intersection with Spring Creek Road. According to police, a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Cole L. Miscik, 30, Spartansburg, was traveling east on Buells Corner Road and failed to stop at the intersection with Spring Creek Road. The vehicle traveled approximately 60 feet across both lanes of travel on Spring Creek Road before striking a ditch and embankment. Police said Miscik sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. He was cited for careless driving.
Theft by unlawful taking. Warren-based state police reported that someone removed a Gorilla Tree Stand from a wooded area on Gossville Road that belonged to a 47-year-old male, Erie. Total value of the stand is $120.
Glade Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Hemlock Road on Aug. 26 at 2 a.m. According to police, a 2003 Dodge Dakota, drive by Kyle M. Knapp, 27, Panama, N.Y., was traveling west on Hemlock Road 1.9 miles east of Pennsylvania Avenue E. Police said while attempting to negotiate a right curve, Knapp lost control of the vehicle causing it to travel 93 feet off the south berm. He attempted to regain control of the vehicle, causing it to strike a ditch and travel approximately 156 feet before coming to rest. Police said Knapp sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. He was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Firearms violation. Warren-based state police reported that on Oct. 25, 2013, Clifford Thomas Bergeron Jr., 45, Slidell, La., made false statements when he filled out both state and federal paperwork when attempting to buy a handgun at The Dog House, Tiona. Police said the accused was denied the handgun purchase via the “PICS” check. Bergeron was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities and sale or transfer or firearms through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Indecent exposure. Warren-based state police have announced an arrest stemming from an incident at the Chapman State Park beach on Aug. 4 at 12:30 p.m. Police said the incident occurred when a man intentionally exposed himself in public, in the presence of numerous children. When confronted by a known 25-year-old female from Warren, the man fled the area. Police said a tip led to a suspect, James T. Hopkins, 70, Lewis Run, and further investigation indicated Hopkins. Police said he was arraigned at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office on Aug. 26 with bail set at $2,500 unsecured.

DUI. Robert Jack Elrod, 54, Oklahoma City, Okla., was pulled over by Warren-based state police at 2:18 a.m. on Aug. 23 at the intersection of N. Carver Street and Pennsylvania Avenue for a traffic violation. Police said Elrod was arrested for DUI, charged at District Justice Glen Carlson’s office and committed to the Warren County Jail with bail set at $5,000.

Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police said a 40-year-old male and a 35-year-old female began a verbal argument about laundry at a residence on National Forge Road, when the male grabbed the female’s wrist to move her out of the way at 11:03 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Elk Twp.
Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said someone slashed a tire on an Elk Township tractor that was parked along Anderson Road. It happened sometime between 3 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 19, according to police.
Glade Twp.
Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between 3 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 3 p.m. Aug. 15, someone removed a 12-foot aluminum Grumman canoe with wooden paddles from the riverbank along Hemlock Road near Dixon Island. Police said the canoe had been chained to a group of trees on the victim’s property. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crimestoppers at 800-832-7463.

DUI. Warren-based state police said Bo Thomas Fox, 24, Warren, was pulled over for various traffic violations at 3:51 p.m. on Aug. 17 at the intersection of Route 6 and Dutchman Run Road. Police said he was found to be DUI and was arrested. Charges were filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Theft of firearm from a motor vehicle. Warren-based state police said a two-tone Sig Sauer .22 caliber handgun was stolen from a white Ford Excursion between 6:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Aug. 21. Police said the vehicle had been in Clarendon, Warren and North Warren during the time in question. Anyone with information should contact the state police or Crimestoppers.
Pittsfield Twp.
Public drunkenness. Warren-based state police said they arrested Justin Ross Campisano, 22, Tidioute, after he was found asleep in the Kwik-Fill parking lot at the intersection of Routes 6 and 27 with a half-full bottle of beer by his side at 3:29 a.m. on Aug. 24. Police said he was charged with public drunkenness through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office and released to a responsible party.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that a known female suspect damaged a utility trailer parked at the 1700 block of Mohawk Avenue sometime between 2 and 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 21. Police said the investigation is continuing.
Sheffield Twp
Crash. Warren-based state police reported that Thomas Steffan, 56, Sheffield, was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 east on Route 948 at 11 p.m. on Aug. 23 when he crossed into the westbound lane and struck a guide rail, then returned to the eastbound lane. Police said the vehicle traveled approximately one mile farther until the left front tire became completely shredded. Police said he parked the vehicle with at least two feet of the truck sticking over the white fog line, fled the scene on foot, and failed to notify police. He was charged with careless driving.
Clarendon
Theft of a motor vehicle. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 8 p.m. on Aug. 16 and 8 p.m. Aug. 21 a red Honda 300EX all-terrain vehicle was stolen in the area of 315 N. Main St. Police said on Aug. 21, the vehicle was recovered in the Sheffield area, and a suspect was identified. The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police or Crimestoppers.

False alarms. Warren-based state police cited the Warren County School District for having five false alarms at the Youngsville Middle-High School in a 12-month period.

Dog fight. Conewango Township police were called to 140 Spruce Court for a complaint of one dog attacking another. The resident reported that her Jack Russell Terrier was tied up in her front yard when it was attacked by her neighbor’s pit bull on Saturday, Aug. 23. Police said the owner of the pit bull, Amelia Perry, 12A Robin Lane, paid the veterinary bill. She was cited for confinement and housing a dog not part of a kennel.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that Jamie Lee Rogers, 39, Corry, was stopped on Woloszyn Road for a traffic violation south of Old Route 77 at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. Police said it was determined that Rogers was driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges of DUI and several traffic violations were filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.

Burglary. Warren-based state police said someone entered a shed at 1625 Stillson Hill Road sometime between 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug.17 and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 and removed a black Baja dirt bike. The intruder also stole two Beagle/Blue Tick puppies from a kennel on the victim’s property.

The intruder fled the business through the front door and was last seen heading down the driveway toward Catlin Hill Road. Police said an unknown make/model/color vehicle was seen approaching the intruder as he fled the scene, and it is presumed that the intruder was picked up by the driver of that vehicle, before fleeing the scene northbound on Catlin Hill Road. Charged. Warren City police said they charged Alicia Gardner, 38, Warren, with interfering with the custody of children, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and obstructing administration of law enforcement on Aug. 14 following an investigation.
Cited. Warren City police said Valerie Bailey, 39, Clarendon, was cited for careless driving on Aug. 13 following a three-car accident on Elm Street at 12:50 a.m.
Charged. Warren City police said Ashley Pitner, 26, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI refusal, careless driving and an open container violation after officers came upon a vehicle that was stuck on train tracks on Aug. 17 at 1 a.m.
Charged. Warren City police said they charged Kendra Lawson, 21, Warren, with endangering the welfare of children on Aug. 19 following an investigation.
Cited. Warren City police said Derreck Brewer, 33, Warren, was cited for accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle, operation of vehicle without certification of inspection and operating a vehicle without insurance on Aug. 20 following a hit and run accident in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Forgery. Corry-based state police reported that between Aug. 4 and Aug. 13 Franchesca Lynn Reed, 21, took checks from Ethel Marie Reed, 84. Police said Franchesca Reed cashed three checks, totaling $600.

Cherry Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one motorcycle accident on August 21 at 1:10 p.m. on Hearts Content Road just west of forest road 114. A 2000 Suzuki VL 1500 motorcycle, driven by Carolyn Miller, 50, Townville, Pa., was traveling east on Hearts Content Road. The motorcycle struck several large pot holes in the roadway and Miller lost control of the vehicle. She laid the motorcycle over on its side and slid across the roadway for approximately 45 feet before coming to rest in the east bound lane. Miller was flown from the scene by medical helicopter for moderate injuries. Police were assisted on the scene by Sheffield Ambulance, EmergyCare, Cherry Grove VFD, U.S. Forest Service and Koebley’s Towing.

Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on Aug. 21 at 2:04 a.m. at Warren State Hospital Benjamin Edward Atwell, 26, Warren, struck a victim, a known 46-year-old male, in the face with his fist four times while the victim was attending to another subject. A charge of harassment was filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Retail theft. Conewango Township police reported that, following a suspicious return, Wal-mart loss prevention personnel were able to view video surveillance of Alex E. Hoffman, 37, Clarion, taking an item off of the shelf valued at $52.88 without paying for it on Aug. 15 at 9:06 p.m. Police said Hoffman was subsequently charged with retail theft.
Possession. Conewango Township police reported that on Aug. 20 at 12:21 p.m. Blake Truver, 3440 Chase Lane, Jamestown, NY, was found lying unconscious on the garage floor of 4150 Market St. while he was working. Co-workers witnessed Truver fall to the ground for no apparent reason. When they came to his aid, they observed a hypodermic needle lying beside his unconscious body. The workers immediately called 911. EmergyCare arrived and examined Truver at the scene, who was at that time lucid and aware. Truver refused medical treatment. Police then interviewed him and upon further investigation charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft. Sheffield Township police are investigating the theft of a bicycle from the porch of S. Main Street residence on Aug. 19 during the overnight hours. Police said the bicycle is a Schwinn Badlands mountain bike, silver/gray and forest green colors. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police at 968-5610.
Theft. Sheffield Township police are investigating the theft of a bicycle from a Pickering Street residence on Aug. 19 between 1 and 6:30 a.m. Police said it is a girl’s pink bicycle with a banana-type seat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.

Charged. Warren City police charged Rodney Gage, 25, Russell, with attempted rape, indecent assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and indecent exposure on Aug. 5 following an investigation. He was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson and remanded to the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Cited. Warren City police said Kristal Roberts, 24, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on Aug. 9 after officers responded to a report of a female vomiting in the parking lot of a local convenience store at 2:36 a.m.
Cited. Warren City police said the following individuals were cited after officers responded to a report of a fight at 5:06 a.m. on July 13: Matthew Matha, 23, Warren, criminal mischief; Gabriel O’Neil, 23, Warren, harassment; Salvatore Garcia, 19, Warren, underage drinking; and a juvenile female, Tiona , harassment.
Cited. Warren City police said Allison Wightman, 20, Warren, was cited for harassment on Aug. 3 after officers responded to a domestic dispute.
Mead Twp.
Found property. Warren-based state police reported that at 6:18 p.m. Aug. 18 a bicycle was found in the water under the Brown Run bridge on Kinzua Road. The owner can contact the state police to make arrangements to identify the bicycle. Police said the bicycle will remain in the possession of Warren-based state police for 90 days prior to disposal.
Pine Grove Twp.
DUI crash. Warren-based state police responded to an accident at 4:57 a.m. Aug. 17 on Fox Hill Road near Lighthouse Lane. Police said a known 16-year-old juvenile from Warren was operating a 2003 Cadillac STS at a high rate of speed southbound when he crossed the northern lane of travel, left the berm and struck a tree. The vehicle then rolled several times, traveling approximately 65 feet before coming to rest in the center of Fox Hill Road. Police said after making contact with the accused, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to Warren General Hospital for minor injuries by EmergyCare EMS. Police said charges are pending for DUI and several other summary traffic violations. Frewsburg, N.Y., volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.
Tidoute
Burglary. Tidioute Borough police reported that they have arrested Misty Hunter, 22, 4540 McCauley Hill Rd., on Tuesday after responding to a burglary call at 17 Church St. Monday at 7:30 p.m. Hunter was arraigned before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

Bad checks. Warren-based state police investigated two incidents of bad checks being passed to Kinzua LTD at Wolf Run Marina between June 27 and Aug. 6. According to police, Maria Luttrell of Jamestown, N.Y., issued two checks to Kinzua LTD to rent a boat and purchase fuel for the boat. Police said both checks were returned by the bank for non-sufficient funds.
Pine Grove Twp.
Accident. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 62 at 6:10 p.m. Aug. 16. According to police, a 2012 Ford F-150 operated by Jerry Rhoades, 28, Sugar Grove, was stopped in the northbound lane of Route 62 to make a left turn into Werner Park when it was struck from behind by a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by Aaron Phillips, 25, Branhport, N.Y. Police said Phillips’ vehicle continued north on Route 62 until it stopped just past Werner Park, blocking the northbound lane and part of the southbound lane. Rhoades’ vehicle was also blocking the northbound lane. Police said neither driver, nor Rhoades’ passenger, Janine Steinle, 36, Warren, was injured. Police said Route 62 was closed for approximately an hour until wreckage could be removed. Russell volunteer firefighters and ambulance assisted at the scene. Police said charges of following too closely are pending against Phillips.

Indecent assault. Warren-based state police said Kirby Kingsley, 18, Warren was charged with indecent assault on Friday after Kingsley allegedly grabbed a 15-year-old victim in a sexual manner. Police said Kingsley was arraigned before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth and bail was set at $25,000.
Sheffield Twp.
Simple assault. Warren-based state police responded to a reported assault at the intersection of Routes 6 and 666 at 10:50 p.m. Aug. 16. According to police, a 14-year-old juvenile male and a 16-year-old juvenile male got into a physical altercation which ended with one receiving medical treatment for a fractured nose. Police said the investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
Youngsville
DUI. On a request from Warren-based state police, Youngsville Borough police responded to a crash on Route 27 in Grand Valley at approximately 12:30 a.m. Aug. 9. According to police, Logan Hasbrouck lost control of his vehicle and struck a guard rail, which caused his vehicle to overturn. Police said it was determined that he was under the influence at the time of the crash. Hasbrouck was transported to Titusville Hospital by ambulance.
Trespass. Youngsville Borough police said a 15-year-old male has been charged with trespass, loitering and prowling at night after he was observed by a property owner in and around his home and vehicle on Poplar Street in the early-morning hours on July 31. Police said a second juvenile male was with him, but has not been identified. Police said both suspects fled on foot when confronted by the owner. Police said the suspect was identified by the victim in a photo lineup and that charges have been filed with juvenile probation.

Firearms violation. Warren-based state police said Michelle Johnson, 37 of Warren attempted to purchase a pistol which she is not allowed to possess. Johnson was arraigned on Thursday before District Justice Carlson and was committed to the Warren County Jail.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said an unknown actor(s) damaged a window to a home on Mohawk Ave. Extension with a golf ball size rock. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Warren.

Twp.
Burglary. Between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, someone forced entry into Richards Restaurant in Brokenstraw Township and removed a small safe, according to Warren-based state police. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police, who said a reward is offered for information leading to prosecution.
Spring Creek
Twp.
Crash. Two Corry women were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 5 p.m. Monday on Old Route 77. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Barbara L. Kimmy, 59, was driving west on Route 77 when she crossed the center line for an unknown reason. Police said Kimmy saw an oncoming vehicle and jerked the wheel to get back into the proper lane. The vehicle crossed over the westbound lane and left the road, striking a tree. Kimmy was taken to Corry Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to police, and, her passenger, Kimberly Kimmy, 17, was flown by emergency helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie for treatment of moderate injuries.
Sheffield
Crash. Two motorcyclists were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday on Main Street in Sheffield. According to Warren-based state police, David E. Frost, 55, Marienville, slowed his motorcycle suddenly. A motorcycle driven by Gregory W. Bloom, 50, Marienville, struck the back end of Frost’s motorcycle, causing both drivers to lose control of and crash their vehicles. Frost and Bloom were taken to Warren General Hospital by Emergycare Ambulance for treatment of moderate head injuries. Police said Bloom was cited for following too closely.
Chautauqua Co., NY
Trespass. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 1:35 a.m. Sunday to a disturbance at the Village Casino, Bemus Point, N.Y. According to deputies, John W. Peterson, 31, and Kelley L. Peterson, 35, both of Warren, were involved in an altercation inside the casino and were repeatedly told to leave. Deputies arrested both subjects for trespassing. Peterson and Peterson were later released and will be summoned to Town of Ellery court at a future date.

Charged. Warren City Police said Angela Person, 43, Falconer, N.Y., was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstructing administration of law and public drunkenness on July 23 after officers were dispatched to a disturbance at 8:30 p.m. at a local business.
Cited. Warren City Police said Curtis Rundell, 21, Warren, was cited for criminal trespass on Aug. 4 after officers responded to a report that a group of kids were jumping off the trestle at Point Park.
Conewango Twp.
Theft. Conewango Township Police are looking for the suspect in a theft of mislaid property case from about 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Walmart. According to police, Donna Wilcox of Youngsville left her purse in her cart when she left the store. When she returned minutes later, she discovered that the purse, which reportedly contained $150, a cell phone, her checkbook, credit cards, and driver’s license, was missing. According to police, security video shows a woman take the purse from a shopping cart and enter the store. Later video shows the woman leaving the store with the purse. According to police, she made no attempt to turn in the purse nor its contents. The woman is white, in her late 50s or early 60s, with long blonde hair and a slender build, dressed in a white, long-sleeve, button-up shirt, and black slacks, with sunglasses on her head, police said. Burglary. Warren-based state police are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 9 a.m. Aug. 7 at a residence on Route 6, just east of Clarendon. According to police, a phone line was cut and prescription medicine was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-832-7463.

Charged. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies cited Molly Lyszaz, 23, of Bowling Green, Ky., with public drunkenness after being dispatched for an intoxicated female near the First Niagara Pavilion at the Warren County Fairgrounds on Aug. 5 at about 8:45 p.m. Police said a citation was filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
Charged. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Diana DeCasper, 26, Lewis Run, Pa., with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after being dispatched for an intoxicated female lying along the roadway on Barton Run Road on Aug. 5 at about 9:49 p.m. at the Warren County Fairgrounds. Police said a criminal complaint was filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
Cited. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies cited a 16-year-old male juvenile after being dispatched to a disturbance at the campground area of the Warren County Fairgrounds on Aug. 5 at about 2 p.m. Police said a citation was filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
Arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patrick Cummings, 24, 112 Park avenue Warren, at 5:30 p.m. on August 8 at the Warren County Fairgrounds. He was arrested on a supervisor’s warrant issued by Warren County Adult Probation for violation of probation. He was also found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at the time of arrest. Cummings was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.
Youngsville
Assault. The Youngsville Police Department investigated a fight that occurred on Friday, August 1 at approximately 1 a.m. outside of the Down Under Bar. Wayne Glasgow, Jr., 23, was arrested for punching a known male in the face. Charges have been filed with District Justice Lindemuth’s office.
Trespass. Charges of criminal trespass were filed with District Justice Lindemuth’s office against Natasha McGraw, 28, and Melissa Brown, 31 for an incident that occurred around 1:15 a.m. on Friday, August 1 on West Main Street.
Sexual assault. Josh Anderson, 34, 336 East Main Street, Youngsville has been charged by Youngsville Police with sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault with a person less than 16 years old. During the course of investigation, it was determined that Anderson was allegedly having sexual intercourse with a fifteen-year old female during the month of July,2014. He was placed in the Warren County Jail with $75,000 bail.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on Aug. 6 at 6:39 p.m. Mark Koza, 51, Kane, was stopped for traveling 77 mph in a 55 mph zone on US 6 .3 miles west of the National Forge curve. Upon further investigation Koza was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI and several summary traffic violations through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
Conewango Twp.
Corruption of minors/furnishing alcohol to minors. Conewango Township police reported that on Aug. 6 at 2:05 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop of Vine St. at the intersection with Berry St., Michael Sparling, 22, Frewsburg, NY, had a known 18-year-old female and a 14-year-old female in the vehicle who had consumed alcohol. The 18-year-old subject was also charged with corruption of minors and the 14-year-old was cited for underage drinking. Criminal complaints and a non-traffic citation have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. Pennsylvania Sate Police assisted at the scene.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on Aug. 1 at 11:29 p.m. on Lenhart Rd. near the intersection with Rt. 62 Donald S. Nowacki, 45, Warren, was stopped by state police after he was observed driving and committing several traffic violations. He was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between 3 p.m. on June 30 and 3 p.m. on July 30 someone stole weights from pump jacks valued at $50 from a known victim on Eccles Road.

Arrest. Pennsylvania State Constables reported arresting Jacob M. Spinney, Youngsville, at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, in Warren. Constables said Spinney was arrested on a warrant for charges of driving under suspension issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Spinney was taken before Carlson and released pending further court action.
Brokenstraw Twp.
Arrest. Pennsylvania State Constables reported arresting Kurtis A. Groves, 23, Irvine, at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 5. Constables said Groves was arrested on a warrant for charges of driving under suspension and operating a vehicle without insurance issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Groves was taken before Carlson and released pending further court action.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that they are investigating a theft of a DR self-propelled 30″ brush hog from the Upper Reservoir that occurred between July 26 and July 28. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Pleasant Twp.
Indecent exposure. Warren-based state police reported that at about 12:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 4, an unknown, mid-to-late 40s, bald, heavy-set, white male knowingly and intentionally exposed himself in public, in the presence of numerous children under the age of 16, at the beach at Chapman State Park. When confronted by the victim, identified as a known 25-year-old female, of Warren, the man fled the area in what was described as a mid-to-late 1990s, square-bodied, Lincoln Town Car-type vehicle, maroon in color with a maroon vinyl top. The vehicle was also said to have a cracked windshield and a lot of “junk” in the back window. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between 9 p.m. on July 31 and 10:30 p.m. on August 2 someone stole a black and yellow Champion 1400 watt portable generator from Dewey John Morningstar, 60, Pleasant St.

Glade Twp.
DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Irvinedale Road at its intersection with Jackson Ave. Ext. on July 27 at approximately 11 p.m. Mark Andrew Markovich, 46, Warren, was driving northbound, executed a wide right hand turn and began heading south east on Irvinedale Road. While attempting to execute a turn at the intersection, Markovich’s vehicle struck one driven by Michael J. Garrett, 22, Warren that was legally stopped on the roadway at the stop sign. Upon striking Garrett’s vehicle, Markovich did not stop and render aid or exchange information and continued to travel on Irvindale Road. Prior to police arrival, Markovich fled the scene in his vehicle and was located at his residence. Garrett and a passenger, Matthew Garrett, were not injured. Garrett’s vehicle sustained moderate damage but was able to be driven from the scene. Police said Markovich was also uninjured and his vehicle sustained minor damage. Upon further investigation, it was suspected that Markovich was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody and transported to Warren General Hospital for chemical testing. Blood results determined his BAC to be above the legal limit. Charges were filed at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office against Markovich for three counts of DUI, careless driving and other summary violations.
Freehold Twp.
Burglary. Corry-based state police reported that between 10 p.m. on July 31 and 8 a.m. on August 1 someone pryed a screen door off a front window and opened an unlocked window to enter the Lottsville Feed Mill, SR 957. Once inside, police said an all in one Hewlett Packard computer, CPU, a Wingate brand hard drive back up unit, a Bunker hill brand writable camera recorder and $25 in cash and coins from the office area were removed. Total value is estimated at $3,450.
Sugar Grove
Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between 6 p.m. on July 30 and 9 p.m. on July 31 someone stole five aluminum truck rims that fit a Ford Ranger and one Craftsman SAE/Metric 3/8″ drive socket set from Dewey John Morningstar, Pleasant St.
Tidioute
Crash. Tidioute Borough police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 8:30 p.m. on July 30. A vehicle operated by Emilie Rehe, Warren, was traveling north on Economy St. and was struck by a vehicle operated by Janet Moore, Tidioute. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and had to be towed. Police said Moore will be cited for failing to yield the right of way.
Burglary. Tidioute Borough police said that Ann Jones, 14 Campbell Hill Rd., reported to police that someone entered her unlocked home and stole a determined amount of cash. This may have occurred during the past few months and Jones just noticed items out of place after she returned from being away, police said.
Forest County
Crash. Marienville-based state police responded to a one vehicle accident on July 18 at 3 a.m. A 2006 Ford Escape driven by Amy L. Markey, 43, Sheffield, was traveling south on SR 66 when for unknown reasons the vehicle drifted off the side of roadway, traveling approximately 75 feet on the berm. The vehicle then drifted further down an embankment continuing south along the top side of the embankment for approximately 270 feet where the left front of the vehicle struck a large tree and shrubbery. Police said Markey was transported from the scene by Clarion Hospital Ambulance then flown to UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie via Life Flight for treatment of what police described as moderate injuries. Markey was not charged.
Bad check. Marienville-based state police reported that Lou Ann Young, 57, Sheffield, passed a bad check at Tall Oaks. Young was cited for summary bad checks and a non-traffic citation was filed through a district justice in Marienville.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that between July 24 and July 31 someone caused damage to property on Horner Rd. and items owned by Cody Randal Spicer, 26, Warren.

Youngsville
Burglary. Youngsville Borough Police charged a 15-year-old boy with burglary, loitering and prowling, and theft after investigating a burglary that occurred in early July. Police said the youth allegedly entered a residence late at night and stole a bicycle valued at over $450.
Prowling. Youngsville Borough Police are investigating an incident of prowling at night. According to police, someone knocked on the front door of a North Main Street residence on two separate occasions late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Charged. Warren County Adult Probation Department officers arrested Donald D. Pierce, 45, of 45 Second St. on Thursday, July 31, for a parole violation. Officers said Pierce was originally charged with terroristic threats. He was taken to Warren County Jail pending further court action.
Chautauqua Co., N.Y.
Charged. Warren County Adult Probation Department officers arrested James F. Chase, 26, of Mayville, N.Y., on Thursday, July 21, for a parole violation. Officers said Chase was originally charged with theft by unlawful taking. He was taken to Warren County Jail pending further court action.
