Region is recipient of snowmobile trail grants

On Wednesday, the Shapiro Administration announced $2.1 million in new investments to expand and improve all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and snowmobile trails and facilities across Pennsylvania, including Warren County — strengthening the Commonwealth’s $19 billion outdoor recreation industry and boosting rural economies. State Police seek information on crash

An unknown vehicle traveling eastbound in the area of 439 Farnsworth Road in Mead township veered off the road while negotiating a left curve in the roadway and struck a telephone pole around 7 p.m. Aug. 15. The impact sheared the pole at its base. Evidence at the scene consisted of tire marks and striations along with the property damage. Verizon had been notified of the damage to their property.
