Warren grad recognized for service
Elizabeth Rusch Fetters
Last May, Harford County Public Schools in Maryland recognized Elizabeth Rusch Fetters for 20 years of service.
Fetters has served all of those 20 years as a chorus and general music teacher at Southampton Middle School.
Through her tenure at Southampton, her choruses have earned Excellent and Superior ratings at contests and festivals, most recently earning a Superior rating at Music in the Parks Festival in Hershey, Pa., on May 16.
Fetters was recently appointed music department chair at Southampton. She continues to play as a freelance performer in Harford County and Baltimore, manages a private bassoon studio, and continues to publish and present in her field.
She is a past national officer and member of Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity. Fetters holds degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Kent State University (Ohio), and the University of Maryland. She is a 1996 graduate of Warren Area High School.
