Elk Township Historical Society to host open house Saturday

The Elk Township Historical Society will open the doors for its September open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. The museum is located in the old Scandia School, at the four corners in Scandia. The society includes a restored 1800s classroom and museum of early Elk Township history that includes 100 years of school records, notebooks of early families, obituaries, cemeteries and more. Board members will be on hand to answer questions. The museum also has a community room available for parties and an indoor pickleball court.
