Outdoor Club

plans Sunday event

On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes or hike from Marienville towards Leeper. Meet at 1 p.m. at Musante Street in Warren and then head to the train station in Marienville. Kim Berkey will be the leader for this activity.

Bridge scores noted

Monday night at the YMCA, Richard Woodruff and Donna Hickey came in first with Shelley Dahlie and Sherra Babcock in second in bridge scores. Marge Neel and Marge Polito were first and second on Tuesday at the Woman’s Club. On Thursday at the Woman’s Club, Marcy O’Brien placed first and Laurie Curren was second.

Memorial service

set for Friday

JAMESTOWN — A memorial service for Charlie Kirk will take place on Friday at 6: 30 p.m. at Koinonia Christian Fellowship, 1427 Peck Settlement Road. The service will remember Kirk’s life, his impact and his faith. “This is not a service to idolize and canonize him, says Pastor Mel McGinnis, “but to worship God, pray and have the message of the gospel shared, because that honors God and that’s what Charlie would want.” There will be brief eulogies, worship in song, and prayers for the family and the nation. All are invited, especially those who mourn his death and desire to respectfully remember him and his family.

The Eisenhower High School Class of ’73 will be having breakfast at The Bucket Cafe in Sugar Grove at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Spouses, family and friends are welcome to attend.
