SOAR Kickoff Assembly includes celebration of Gus’ birthday

Youngsville Elementary School held its SOAR Kickoff Assembly on Friday, Aug. 30. Part of the school’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports effort, SOAR stands for Safety, Ownership, Always Respect. The birthday of the school’s PAWSitive Support Program therapy dog, Gus was also celebrated. There are five PAWSitive Support Program dogs in the Warren County School District who support school climate as well as social emotional services in all the schools. The PAWSitive Support Program will be hosting a PAWS-toberfest Fundraiser at Cable Hollow Golf Course October 19 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to support the ongoing cost of the dogs’ food, supplies and veterinary care. Tickets are $40 per person and include dinner and live music.
