Price of gas remain steady in Warren

Gas prices ticked down two cents in the region this week though the price in Warren remained flat at $3.79.

The average price in the region is $3.73, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

Indiana, Jeannette, Mercer and Oil City join Warren for most expensive in the region at $3.79.

“After an early spring surge, the national average for a gallon of gas has remained steady over the past week at $3.53,” the report details. “Gas prices are settling into a pattern like last year when the usual seasonal increases were slow and steady.”

Data from the Energy Information Administration indicates that gas demand slipped this week while stocks increased.

“Lower demand would typically contribute to pushing pump prices lower or slowing increases, but rising oil prices have kept them elevated instead,” the report detailed.
