Sweeney appointed executive director of Economic Opportunity Council
Warren Forest Counties Economic Opportunity Council announced the appointment of Tressa Sweeney as the new executive director effective Feb. 1.
Sweeney replaces Robert Raible, who is retiring after serving the organization for more than 35 years.
Sweeney brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position, having served in the fiscal department for seven years and as fiscal director for WFCEOC for the past year and a half. During her time as fiscal director, Sweeney has managed the organization’s finances and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.
In her new role as executive director, she will be responsible for leading WFCEOC’s efforts to provide services and programs that help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency. She will work closely with the organization’s staff, board members, and community partners to develop and implement strategies that address the needs of the community.
“I am honored to be appointed as the new executive director of WFCEOC,” Sweeney said. “I look forward to working with the staff, board members, and community partners to continue the organization’s mission of empowering individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.”
Matthew Scott, WFCEOC board chair, expressed his excitement about Sweeney’s appointment.
“Tressa has been an integral part of WFCEOC for many years and has a deep understanding of the organization’s mission and values,” he said. “We are confident that she will provide strong leadership and guidance as we move forward.”
