Lunch group to meet May 17

The Bon Ton Lunch Group will meet at Cable Hollow Golf Course on Wednesday, May 17, at 12:30 p.m.

Indivisible to meet

Indivisible Warren PA will meet today at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Outdoor club to ride

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes on the TAMED trail in Kane on Sunday, May 14, an event that was canceled last weekend due to weather. The group will meet at Musante St. at 1:30 p.m. or at the trailhead in Kane, located on Rt. 6 and Rt. 321 across from Country Fair, at 2 p.m.

Garden club to meet

The Warren Garden Club will meet at St. Joseph Catholic Church on May 18 at 1 p.m. Club member Mary Lou VanDorn, Accredited Master Flower, Show Judge will show members the simplicity of line design and include many design basics.

Road closures

The Forest Service has announced that road work will commence on Forest Roads 122 and 321 starting on May 12. The roads will be temporarily closed to allow for cross-drain culvert replacement. US 219, Rt. 321 and Rt. 59 can be used to avoid the area. The road work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is expected to take about two weeks. Outdoor enthusiasts may encounter disturbance from the construction activities along the Kinzua Creek corridor and are encouraged to seek opportunities in other parts of the Forest until construction is complete. Motorists may experience delays when driving to the Kinzua Valley Trailhead.
