Night Sky Watch events set

There are two more Drive-In Night Sky Watch opportunities this summer at Chapman State Park. Martz Observatory Project Director Tom Traub will teach the essentials of stargazing from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 30, and Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Chapman State Park boat launch. The moon, Saturn, and dark skies will be the targets on July 30. Jupiter, Saturday, and dark skies will be featured on Aug. 6. Participants are asked to bring binoculars, spotting scope, or telescope, a blanket or chair, and a flashlight. Registration is not required.

Class to meet for lunch

The Warren Area High School Class of 1961 will hold a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the Jackson Valley Country Club.

gather Friday

The Osram-Sylvania lady retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at New Beginnings in Sugar Grove.

Outdoor Club to kayak Sunday

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak Sunday from McCrea Point Park in Jamestown, NY on the Chadakoin River and Chautauqua Lake. The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the parks kayak/canoe launch. When entering the park turn left into the parking lot. Garden Club to meet

The Warren Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Meyer Hall, St. Joseph Church. The speaker will be Louise Dyer who will present on orchid care.
