Raising of the Four Flags set for Saturday

The annual raising of the Four Flags that represent the nations that have held dominion over the Warren area will be held on Saturday.

The annual Four Flags ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at Heritage Point in Crescent Park. It is being dedicated to Four Flags Committee member John McGarry, who passed away May 19.

“The keynote speaker this year will be Piper Lindell of Allegheny Outfitters,” according to organizer Don Reed. “Piper has been an active and enthusiastic supporter of outdoor activities in Warren County, and she has also made several recent trips to Poland in support of the Ukrainian refugee crises there.”

“John Shaughnesy will be the master of ceremonies, and music will be provided by the Warren High School Band under the direction of Marcia White, and by Garry Campbell,” Reed said. “Pastor Jeff Ewing of the First Lutheran Church of Warren will provide the invocation.”

In case of rain, the program will be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Pleasant Drive.
