Audubon Presents “Turkeys and Fish” at Warren YMCA
The Audubon Community Nature Center and the Warren YMCA are presenting “Turkeys and Fish” on Saturday, March 26.
Those interested are invited to drop in anytime between 10 and 11:30 a.m. at the Warren YMCA, 212 Lexington Ave., Warren.
With opening seasons for both turkeys and fish coming up soon, the discussion is an opportunity to learn more about each of animal. The group can explore the adaptations of turkeys with artifacts like feathers, skulls, feet, and eggs. Audubon will have a mounted turkey available for size reference and to see the birds up close. A play fishing pond will introduce visitors to some common fish of the area while they “catch” some of their own. Other activities and crafts will be available as well.
Thanks to sponsorship by Whirley DrinkWorks!, the program is free, and no reservations are necessary.
