HOW HAS THE ALLEGHENY

COMMUNITY CENTER BEEN OF VALUE TO OUR COMMUNITY THIS YEAR?

Working together with initiator Gaughn’s Drug Store and Experience, Inc., your local Area Agency on Aging, the Alleghegny Community Center has been the venue for providing nearly 1,200 vaccinations. Center officials plan to continue tjhe service for the community.

The center has also offered free tax preparation with its VITA tax volunteers. This free program was available to help the entire community. Volunteers completed 600 returns and filed almost as many Rent and Property Tax Rebates.

Seniors are active and social people. Their isolation during COVID has made it very apparent on how important it is to have a place for them to get lunch, be active, and socialize.

The Allegheny Community Center is dedicated to providing supportive and informational services to our entire community. Donations to support the center can be made through the WarrenGives event on May 19 at www.warrengives.org by sending a check to the WarrenGives Foundation by May 17. Call 814-726- 9551 to learn how.
