First U.M. hears musical ensembles

The Little Bach and Jr. Philomel Clubs recently performed at the First United Methodist Church for their parents and family.

All piano students take private lessons from Vera Finger or Cathy Peterson. Piano pieces performed include Soldier’s March by Schumann, Medieval Fair by Faber performed by Anne Lin; Ecossaise in G by Beethoven performed by Sydney Johnson; Moonlit Night by Yuki performed by Cricket Branstrom; New World Symphony by Dvorak, Diamonds on the Water by Rossi performed by Joseph Miller; Toccata in D Minor by JS Bach, Watch My Fingers Rock by Burson performed by Colin Drayer; Dance of the Wind by Brown, Waltz in Bflat by Schubert performed by Derek Hahn; Waltz in a Minor by Chopin, Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens, Beetle Juice by Elfman performed by Logan Johnson; Solfeggio in C Minor by CPE Bach, Synthesis by Bonavita performed by Jason Bonavita.

Piano duets were also performed: Derek and Colin performed Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart; Sydney and Mrs. Peterson performed Yankee Doodle Variations by Vandell; Anne and Mrs. Finger performed The Entertainer by Joplin; Jason and Mrs. Peterson performed Ostinato Barbaro by Vandell.

Little Bach and Jr. Philomel clubs are for private students in sixth through 12th grades. Interested students may contact Cathy Peterson at 723-1787 for information regarding audition requirements.
